fighting a taller opponent

Are you short like me? Not a problem!

Make sure not to extend yourself while trying to connect, that can be dangerous. Rather, when dealing with taller opponents, keeping a low stance is a good idea. Make him fight at your hight.

Bending your knees an extra bit will minimize the impact of a taller opponent’s punches. It’ll cause the taller opponent to exert extra effort in trying to connect punches on a fighter who keeps his stance low, and eventually open him up for punches.

A low stance can be tiring on the legs, so work your stamina, squats, and calf raises and all should be fine.

Train smart,
